Terms of use

These terms apply to OpenIMSCC, a website operated by Mishal (Museeb) (“we”, “us”). By using it you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. Contact: info@museeb.tech.

What the tool does

OpenIMSCC opens Canvas course exports (.imscc) and Canvas quiz exports (QTI .zip) in your browser so you can read them and export individual items. Files are processed on your own device. See the privacy policy for details.

Your content

You must have the right to open and use the files you load, for example because you created the course or your institution allows it. Your content stays yours; we never receive it. You are responsible for how you use anything you export, including respecting the rights of other authors whose material is in a course.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the site to break the law, to attack or overload it, or to get around its usage limits or paid features. We may block access that abuses the service.

Paid Course pass

A Course pass is a one-time purchase that unlocks extra features for one course. It isn’t a subscription and doesn’t renew. If it doesn’t work for you, email info@museeb.tech within 14 days of purchase and we’ll refund it. Prices are shown before you pay; payment is processed by Stripe.

No warranty

The tool is provided “as is” and “as available”. Canvas exports vary, and some content or question types may not be shown or converted perfectly. Always check exported tests and answer keys before you use them with students. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or US$12 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can’t be excluded.

Trademarks

Canvas is a trademark of Instructure, Inc. OpenIMSCC is an independent tool. It isn’t affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Instructure. Other names belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.

Changes

We may update these terms. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with a new date at the top. If you keep using the site after that, the new terms apply.
